Translab Performance 2.5 inch 1310 U-Joint slip fit units.
These HD Slip-fit joints are necessary for big power cars and those using Solid VC carrier bearing mounts in either Wago or Freelander (Wago OR CRV rear Diff) type Viscous coupler installations (ie Billet with no poly dampening). This includes the NRGtech, wEFshitup, FCS RACE, S1built and Translab BILLET VC carrier bearing mount setups.Â
The solid mounted VCs with billet bearing holders do not allow for any flex on deflection and can cause vibration issues from binding as well as damage to VCs due to the loading of the plates inside the VC causing overheating, deforming and dishing of the plates under load. We have seen this firsthand in a number of cars.
At a minimum there should be one post VC prior to the rear end, for most the PTO on the front shaft is plenty. IF you wish to omit the front OEM PTO joint you may use these there as well.
They are fully compatible with the Speedfactory Racing 1310 UJOINT adaptor kits And if used in conjunction with such (as pictured on my own car here), you will have one tube flange for the SF kit left over.
These are for 2.500x.083 wall 2.5 inch DOM Driveshafts which support 1200-1300 WHP cars without issue.
